It's been a rough time for me but I have had a lovely time working with my bead soup from the lovely Lesley Lane. The reds and golds work so well together, all I really added were sparkly glass rondelles and lots of wire!
I do love working with wire!
If you'll remember, here is what my partner sent me to play with.
And here is how the soup has developed...

The Postcard swap is now at an end and to finish it off properly, there is a final BlogHop to visit all those involved.
It has been a long journey, especially for the postcards and the lovely Kat who has swapped everyone's lovely artwork and sent them whirring around the world.
The postcards have now all found new homes and will be treasured by the recipients.

This weekend I treated myself to a silverclay course at my little craft shop Craftcandy.
After an hour of playing with polymer clay and trying to get the shape I wanted, several attempts at different shapes later, I settled on this little fellow and decided on adding a texture to his back using a stamp.
Then we opened the silver clay! The texture was much like ordinary clay but spongyMaddy*Moohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11849262753660502103noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507333214633176117.post-62992261356568609432014-03-31T13:16:00.000+01:002014-04-10T13:17:04.774+01:00Happy Mother's Day!Mothering Sunday started with a rush... not only had the clocks gone forward and so losing me an hour's sleep, but as I attended a silver clay course on the Saturday evening, I had to pick up my little monster from my parents before heading to his karate grading.

An amazing artistic postcard from Char'i Lawson in Colardo Springs, this time stamped from a special place, National Postal Museum Station in Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.
Quoted on the back of the card is:
I look at everything with one eye closed, to mix the truth of my mind with the lies of this world. I am not perfect...just another face.
Such a true statement.

A friend of mine whom joined a mini bead soup with me last year on Facebook, has agreed to do an individual exchange with me, so; inspired by the bright yellows of the soup I put together for Lesley, here is a second soup I put together.

Deadline day is today!
I just love this swap! I rarely create what I call art as I'm usually making jewellery but you can even send in pictures of that too. Here are the postcards I sent in for this years swap. This year's Bead soup party is bigger than ever! Soups are arriving in the mail and the photos in the Facebook group are delicious! Both my partner Lesley and I have Etsy stores so we made contact there to get an idea of materials we usually work with. She works with gemstones and glass like myself yet we both have different takes on things. I myself using a lot of wire and Lesley using cord to Maddy*Moohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11849262753660502103noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507333214633176117.post-13191370506997645702014-03-09T16:25:00.000+00:002014-03-16T16:26:58.706+00:00Sales :)

You may have noticed I have a little list to the right of the blog with my weight losses over the past few years. I joined SlimmingWorld when I was at University and then had a break whilst I was learning to drive after losing a stone and my boyfriend leaving (after 7 months), because he doesn't do relationships.
Anyway, I returned back to SlimmingWorld in January of 2012 after seeing myself Maddy*Moohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11849262753660502103noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507333214633176117.post-27271478307376412952014-02-18T18:33:00.001+00:002014-02-18T18:34:39.295+00:00Bead soup blog partyI got my confirmation last night, did you?
I'm super excited, being my second year participating. Not sure what to send in the mail as yet though despite having a massive range of beads and findings to hand.
Can't wait to receive the address of who I'm sending to.
Watch this space for more pretties...

I was asked last week to make a tree of life pendant with birthstones of amethyst, pearl, ruby, peridot and diamond. As I can't sort diamond beads I have substituted with diamantes after checking with the buyer.
The pictures really don't do it justice as it sparkles so much from them. I included one large at the top where I created the bail and attached a piece of sparkling cup chain at the Maddy*Moohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11849262753660502103noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507333214633176117.post-63289572434291014752014-02-16T13:16:00.000+00:002014-03-16T13:18:19.151+00:00Papercrafting, for me a rare sightI enjoyed a lovely afternoon working with mica sprays and paper at Craft Candy, making paper flowers.
Completed a lovely headband and brooch with my finished flowers, some ribbon, beads and ofcourse wire! I just can't resist working with it now, it's become a part of me. I even had a flower left over.
Here's what I got up to:

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
This Valentines Day included a lovely evening meal, with candlelight and a gorgeous surprise from my partner. But first, here's what I made for him :)
Inspired by the lovely Paper Panda on facebook, I dove head first into papercutting and love it! Having got the larger piece framed, I must say it looks amazing! Think she really enjoyed herself and presented the finished tree to her mother for her birthday.
I also made some pieces of my own, having had this fuschia pink wire in my stash for quite some time I wanted to put it to use and so Maddy*Moohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11849262753660502103noreply@blogger.com0
