Craft Day and a UFO update

Today I took my car to Melton Mowbray with my mum and Joey, to have a craft day with some of my stitchy friends from A Crafty Natter and here is what I managed to get done...

Here's a pink panda I crocheted after borrowing a crochet hook from Colly, I added the eyes when I got home:

Tribal butterfly had a little stitching done too:

I also finished a secret piece and stitched on my Star Wars UFO:

Overall it was a lovely day and the kids behaved so well, the beauty of modern technology and portable games consoles.

See Rachael over at Stitchabilities for some pictures of the day including one of me :)

UFO update

This week I have stitched on my Star Wars piece again as I haven't been home most of the week and forgot to pick up Samurai. So here is another update:

Believe it or not I've stitched 4 colours in that bottom bit and it all looks the same.

UFO Night

It's Sunday and the last day to post pictures of our UFO for the week. Last week I worked on my auntie's Samurai Warrior and this week I've gone back to my StarWars piece. Thought it would be best to alternate between the two as one is on black and the other white, as well as the Samurai being all blended threads so one strand of one colour stitched with one strand of another. Anyway here is StarWars for this week! Unfortunately it is a poor photo.

UFO Night

But this week my first post is of a different UFO. This one acquired from my auntie whom started it before my son was born, he is 6 1/2 years old now. It is a Samurai Warrior for my uncle and she is hoping it to be done by christmas.

What it will eventually look like:

What my auntie had stitched:

And what I have stitched:

I might be able to squeeze in some StarWars stitches tomorrow, we shall see!

No UFO...

Unfortunately I have no UFO update for you for this week as I have spent a lot of my time stitching on my Stitchfactor piece which is taking forever and still not taking shape. Next week I hope to have some more of an update for you.

UFO Night again

Here's another update on my Star Wars UFO. It seems as though I don't stitch on anything else anymore, so have dug out some of my crazy 15 projects to get some more progress on them too. I currently have 'Share a Smile' which I shared an update of a little while ago and the other is 'Sunny Day'.

UFO Night

UFO Night last Wednesday I picked up my Star Wars piece that did have it's own blog however as it became banished to the corner of the room it was left without any new stitching for almost 2 years now and as a last hope of relief for it, it is now my UFO project once a week. Due to not taking my laptop away with me at the weekend I was unable to post a progress picture so today is that day.

I know it's not much but it is progress from the original picture and as there are 6 A4 pages to complete, I can see this being a continuous project for some time.

More Mademoiselle progress, trying to get as much done as possible each week as I'm really not enjoying it but am determined to finish it.

Mademoiselle Update

With the trip to Andover for the A Crafty Natter meetup, I was able to get some stitching done on Mademoiselle in the car on the way. Doesn't seem like much but here she is!

Mademoiselle update

More on my Mademoiselle UFO piece. I'm not particularly enjoying stitching on this piece and I'm starting to see why I put it down in the first place and why it ended up hiding in the cupboard. It's 16count aida although the holes are very visible, not keen on the colours, it just isn't growing as nicely as I would have liked. Anyway here's some outlining, background, eyes and hat rose. I can't really see much difference but maybe you can.

Mademoiselle - UFO Night

OK UFO Night was Wednesday 2nd March, so here is my update on Mademoiselle for the week. It doesn't actually look as though I have made much progress but I can tell you there is filling on her dress at the bottom, pink filling to the right, black by her hair (eventually a hat) and some whispy backstitching (which takes forever as it goes between stitches).
Believe it or not the first picture was taken in daylight and the second at night yet the colours are better in the second one.
