Cake Hearts

When we got home from Speedcrafting I decided to make some cake, yes I know it was late but still I had told coleagues at work I was going to make a cake so I did! I didn't have what I needed for teh 3 layer sponge cake but I had the exact ingredients to make these two chocolate heart cakes. A recipe from Baked and Delicious. How do they look?



Joey decorated his on the Friday after school in white chocolate frosting and then ate almost all of it within half an hour. Mine however is still untouched yet tempting me all the time - I may have to share mine on Valentine's Day with Joey! You're meant to layer them up but I thought they were nice as two different iced cakes. There was even enough mixture to make 3 cupcakes at the same time too.

I even made a whole tub of pasta for my lunch Friday whilst waiting for the cakes to rise in the oven. And I ate the whole lot at lunchtime, soo yummy!

This year Joey has had his first ever birthday party.

I should really take some more pictures of everything he got for his birthday.

His main present was the new Skylanders game from myself and then characters from my sister, friend and various other people, he even spent some of his birthday money on them too.

Cupcakes anyone???

Bought some cupcake mixes as my friend had the urge to bake last night and to be honest she actually did most of it lol. Here are the finished results, One batch of sticky toffee cakes and another of Rocky road.





There were 2 more of each but they went home to her family, I've not yet tried one.

A happy happy day!!!

Firstly big thing today was my driving test and ... I passed!!!!!



Secondly I finished this cute little cat for a charity quilt on A Crafty Natter.



Thirdly I made a big cake yesterday and Joey enjoyed licking the spatula but didn't actually help!



In a good mood big time!!!

Back to school...

Joey went back to school on Thursday and here he is all looking smart for his first day back! He was sooo excited too lol.



Oh and I also made cakes on Wednesday without any help at all lol so proud of myself. Joey helped by licking the spoons clean and eating the finished cakes but other than that, all by myself lol.
