Halloween!!!!!

Took Joey Trick or Treating on Sunday and he ended the night with a full bucket of sweets, which I feel a bit guilty for tbh. Anyway he's been told he can have one thing out of it a day so it lasts longer than five minutes. Bought him a new costume as he was going to go as Sully from Monster's Inc but it has become far too small and looked like his bottom would rip open lol.

Anyway here he is as a Wizard, not scarey I know but he enjoyed it as he got to have a wand!

Also here is the pumpkin that Joey designed and I cut out lol:


The next two are my friends' pumpkins whom our pumpkin sat with for the night lol:



And one more from the night. A pumpkin from one of the houses we visited which I had to take a picture of as it was so cool. Not sure you can really tell what it is meant to be but it's a window with a cat sitting at it and a pumpkin on the right lol.

Halloween fun...

My dad will probably kill me for this but I just have to share these pics lol. We went for breakfast Monday and popped into Asda to have a look for some clothes for Joey as everything he put on that morning didn't fit him :(.

Anyway Asda Living had all their halloween stuff by the door obviously and we just had to have a mooch. Picked up a plastic Skull jug to have drinks on halloween, (i could just put fairy lights in it and put it in the window - ooh now there's an idea :) ) I also got some pumpkin candles and my dad got one of the jugs as they were 3 for 2.

Whilst looking through the halloween stuff Joey found a pumpkin sweet bowl and put it on like a mask:

And then my dad and Joey picked up a couple of actual masks and I had to take this pic lol:

Later on in the evening Joey got his own tub of Ben & Jerry's and couldn't wait to dig his spoon in lol:

Halloween is coming...

And don't we know it! The shops are filled with all things scarey and the christmas decorations have already been put up at my local shopping centre! The grotto will go up overnight ready for 1st November!!! Anyway, as you can probably see from my previous posts I've been seeing a lot of pumpkins recently and these are no different!



Brands really do change their products to suit public events/holidays! They had heart shaped doughnuts for Valentines Day and now Pumpkins for halloween, will there be christmas trees for Christmas???

I've been researching artists with references to Day of the Dead for Year 8 work I'll be teaching after Half term, and came across this gorgeous diamond encrusted skull by Damien Hirst.

Halloween exchange...

Having received confirmation that it has been received I can now show you what I sent to Sharon on Exchange Heaven. A spooky cushion, pumpkin teddy bear, an orange variegated anchor thread, and some of the fabric I used to make the cushion.



I'm so glad you liked it Sharon! I just loved making it and the teddy is just sooo cute, Joey wanted to steal him lol.

Look what arrived!

Halloween!!!

Although we didn't go trick or treating Joey spent the day dressed as a Pumpkin lol. We went to a friend's house for the night and he didn't want to go near the front door as they had a spider hanging from the doorway which falls down when you clap. He was so scared of it he ran inside once the door was open lol.





We watched Evolution and he kept screaming when the aliens attacked and things. His face was such a picture! lol.

He had fun though as he had some sweets and cake lol. Only thing is when we went to go there we put his jumper on, then his coat and then his pumpkin outfit and he was so fat with all the padding that he was as big as a pumpkin lol. So much fun!
