I have recieved my Spring Exchange piece from Lorna and it looks amazing! I love it! I couldn't wait when I picked it up from the Post Office and opened it as soon as I walked out the door so this picture is taken of it on the passenger seat of my car.

Spring Exchange
Here is the exchange piece I sent to Rachael for the Spring Exchange on Exchange Heaven. I put some of my materials in so you can see what it can be used for. I also included a matching pincushion that had a keyring attached so you can hook it onto scissors too etc.
I put a piece of felt under the part that sits on the arm of the chair so hopefully it won't slip around.
So glad you like it Rachael! I loved making it.

Double Happy Dance!
I have completed two projects today, one being a new piece having picked up the chart at the Stitch & Craft Show, I had to order the fabric (I ran out of cash) and start as soon as it arrived! It's a gorgeous opalescent in greens and yellows, but the picture really doesn't do it justice. Both chart and fabric are by Sparklies.

Next is Day 4s project from the Crazy 2011 challenge, Lavender Hill. I switched the white thread on the sheep to the whispers thread used in 'The Gathering room' also by LHN. You may remember I finished it as a cushion for Rachael in an exchange on ExchangeHeaven, and this will also become a cushion.

Buttons & Thimbles Exchange
As it has been received by my partner Lynn in the USA I can now share pictures of the Buttons & Thimbles exchange piece I made for her on ExchangeHeaven.

Here is the back of the cushion, I added a little pocket. (scissors and scissor fob are my own)

You may recognise the fabric from the Valentines Exchange piece I sent to Vivian, also in the USA, I have fallen in love with it and it is just so appropriate for exchange pieces :) My parcel to Lynn included a thimble and card all wrapped up in tissue paper. Thanks for looking.

Just heard that my Valentines Exchange piece has arrived in America so I can now show you what I made.

And here is a closeup of the stitched panel. Blackwork design stitched in a pink hand-dyed Dragonfloss thread ' Love and Laughter'. I added some little silver heart charts to the design too.

Crazy January 2011 Challenge
The first 15 days are up and I started all 15 of my chosen projects as well as starting 2 extra projects, my valentines exchange piece for ExchangeHeaven which I not only started but also finished and my first ornament of the year. Whilst starting all these projects I also started a new TUSAL jar for the year. Although I missed out on the sign up I will be posting my jar updates at the end of each month as with so much stitching to do it will hopefully fill up fast.
Thankyou for following my progress over the past 2 weeks and I hope you enjoy coming back again and again to see my updates throughout the year.
If you would like to see other bloggers and their choices for the Crazy January Challenge then I have added a link in my Crazy 2011 Challenge page.

Received!
My giveaway winner was Lucy and when I joined the ATC exchange at Exchange Heaven I also received her as my partner which was great because I sent it all together but didn't want to spoil the surprise that she would be receiving both from me lol.
Anyway my parcel was received the day after I took it to the post office. Lucy sent me this lovely email which I hope she doesn't mind me sharing :)
"WOW!! I was truely blessed today when a parcel from you turned up. Thank you so much for all the lovely bits. I just adore the bag and my mind is whizzing with ideas to decorate it. The needlebook is gorgeous and will certainly be well used and the keyring has gone straight onto my handbag. And all the lovely bits and pieces.... felt, ribbon, needles and thread. The little hair rose and a yankee candle which smells divine. I am absolutely bowled over.
And of course many many thanks for the beautiful atc. Its really pretty."

The ATC I made was themed pink unlike the giveaway which was clearly black & white lol.
On the back I attached a card with my name, blog details etc, and wrote the date, what fabric I used and the thread colour.
Lucy does have some clearer photos over on her blog lol.
Thanks for looking.

Halloween exchange...
Having received confirmation that it has been received I can now show you what I sent to Sharon on Exchange Heaven. A spooky cushion, pumpkin teddy bear, an orange variegated anchor thread, and some of the fabric I used to make the cushion.

I'm so glad you liked it Sharon! I just loved making it and the teddy is just sooo cute, Joey wanted to steal him lol.

My new cabinet
I've been meaning to post a picture of my new cabinet and so here it is. It was bought and erected on Monday 19th October, and has been filled with all my Uni books as well as a few magazines that are very inspirational for me, my VOGUE issues are far too heavy for the shelves and so have been organised in the place where all of this was, just so it's a little tidier lol.

Hope you like it. Oh and if you look very closely you can see a picture of Joey on the right, my flatfold exchange piece on the left from Julie on A Crafty Natter, and hanging on the handles in the centre is my halloween exchange piece from Michelle on ExchangeHeaven lol. I can finally start displaying all my lovely exchange pieces!

Whole jar:

Close up:

There's quite a few white threads, I'm guessing from my sewing machine. Pink from my Rennie Mackintosh, Purple from a gift, Green and White from the Home Exchange on Exchange Heaven to Lorna.
Thanks for looking.
