Needlekeep/pinkeep finishing class

Have just posted a new tutorial on my finishing blog (link to the left or here) for this gorgeous pinkeep/needlekeep.



Same sort of steps as that of an ornament only a little bigger.

It's been a while but I have finally gotten around to doing another Finishing class for the blog. It's a circle ornament with a fancy ribbon detail around the edge.

Alphabet Exchange...

I managed to send my Alphabet exchange piece for Exchange Heaven to my partner Chris on 22-07-09. Sorry for the delay in sending. It took a lot longer than I had anticipated.

Anyway Chris posted that she had received it so here are the pictures I took before sending it on it's way.

The front:

This has wadding underneath so it can be used as a pin cushion or simply just to put your needle in between lengths.

The inside:

There are two rings for flosses, a pocket to put scissors/charts in, a scissor keep, and an ORT bag attached to the back with velcro.

The reason it took so long is at first I didn't realise the size of the chart but didn't really want to start a different one, then didn't know what to make it up into and finally I decided to simply improvise and ended up making an all-in-one keep that can sit on the arm of the chair with everything you need for a project lol. My best improvising yet lol.

Reveal day on A Crafty Natter

I opened my flatfold piece today and it is just gorgeous! I absolutely love the colours. A big thankyou to my partner Julie it is just lovely!



Here is the piece I sent to Rachael. The picture isn’t very clear but Rachael has a much better one including the postcard I sent with it too.



The extras are: some purple fabric, threads, and a pot of felt dragonflies.

I also managed to get some pictures of it step-by-step so I will try and put up a Finishing Class on that blog soon.

Cupcakes...

As Elisa has received my exchange piece for the food & drink exchange on Exchange Heaven, I can now show you what it is that I sent.


These gorgeous cupcakes came from the Cross Stitch Gold and were absolutely lovely to stitch. I finished them off with beads that I got from the Stitch & Craft Show. Here's a close up:


I also sent along these goodies I found.


And wrapped it all up in matching paper:


I'm so glad you like it Elisa! I had so much fun stitching them that in part I didn't want to let them go lol. No matter I will stitch more! I also made up a finishing class for this piece too so check out the finishing blog!
