View

October's theme on Sketchbook Challenge was 'View' so I first started by viewing my everyday surroundings differently and captured a few images of my pepsi swirling in its glass:

I then viewed my tangles in a different way and tried enlarging them:

And finally I chose to create this eye view of tangles using the shape from a tangled eye image that unfortunately I cannot currently find:

Name Pages

I thought I would try some personalised pieces for my Etsy store so here are the demo's I have produced in my sketchbook and put in for printing with my dad to make them into notebooks. I can only show you 3 of the pages as the 4th is for an Exchange, shhh.

ML sketchbook page Mum sketchbook page DAD sketchbook page

I think they will look really nice made into notebooks and you'll always know which book is yours too. As I said these are just demo's ML being my initials and MUM and DAD being general. Pick a name and a font and I will personalise it however you want.

Inspiration block???

Sandra has created a post of ways to break up bleedthru pages as a response to a comment I left on one of her amazing bleedthrumanade pages. It's a great way of avoiding artist's block as it's called and gives you some new things to try with your work.

Zentangle #4

After spending so much time looking at Zentangles on Flickr and Google I decided to try one with some basic shapes in pencil first and then fill in my patterns. So here is what I have come up with today. I'm not quite sure whether to leave it or carry on as I quite like it as it is and don't want to ruin it by going overboard. What do you think? More Sketchbook pages - HIghly Prized

Continuing with the Sketchbook Challenge, I have now completed two peacock feather pages using doodling. I have also spent a little time wandering Flickr and came across some fantastic doodles which the artist has then made into fabric which is amazing. They've given me so many ideas to try and one of them I was actually thinking of this morning too which is odd. Anyway here are my latest two pages, Zentangles #2 & #3. Click picture to enter my Flickr photostream and you can see close ups too.
