Thought I would show you some of the pages I've coloured ready for tangling. I'm not sure about the stripey pages but I'm looking forward to the grey pages. Pictures on the left are the fronts and pictures on the right are the backs.

These all look great! Sometimes, the ones that look the least interesting give the best results.
One of the things I do when I have a very strong shape like the lighter area you have in the one you've started is to break it up somehow (as it did with the dark blue in today's Bleedthrumanade). You can do that by the choice of your tangle, or you could even do something like continue your circles into the white a little bit. You've already established the circles as traveling across colors, so they'd be a natural choice to establish different sections.
I guess what the advice boils down to, is to look for ways to make yourself 'see' the back differently, and you've already started that.
